WATER SYSTEM ALERTS

Sept 22,2023: 1:00pm water leak on Tempo Lake Rd had been identified and repairs are on the way. Water-Boil advisory will probably be through the weekend. The leak is due to re-pressurizing after this morning’s pump issue, which has been resolved. As of 2:00pm: the whole system has been shut down while the repairs are being made. It should take 1-2 hours. Thank you for your patience. **** As of 3:30pm the leak has been repaired and water is being turned on. Please conserve water for the next several hours to allow the system to recover.

2am this morning the alarm went off at the South Park well. Reports of little or no water have come from the whole system. The water company has been notified and is on its way. They think it should be a simple problem to fix. 3 board members are working on it. *****As of 8:40am both wells are up and running.

ALSO: Have you noticed you water is clearer? Less carbonation? Paul, our president, has had the water company look into the cloudy water problem. The company has been working to better balance our two functioning wells resulting in clearer water. The problem does NOT seem to be low water tables, but poorly balanced well function. They are still working on the issue, so expect the bubbles to return now and then until the technicians get it right. This may require the cleaning of one of the wells and its pump.

August 16, 2023:RESOLVED 5:PM. no electronic notices or boilwater necessary. Small Water break on corner of Stedman and Tempo Lake (North end) at 1:00pm today. Repair crew is near Hood Canal but has been notified. 4:00 update: we don’t think the water will need to be shut off.

Aug 11, 2023; Our water management Co doesn’t know why those who were previously receiving electronic notifications didn’t receive them Sunday.  They are reaching out to the public address folks to see if there was an issue.  To sign up for or verify electronic notification, please click ‘members only’ then ‘TLGA water system’ then ‘TLGA water system information’ or make the request on your next return stub with your payment.

Aug 10, 2023: The water technician in charge of the water testing called and said the boil water order has been lifted.

Aug 6, 2023: Etude Loop experienced a break in the main line. It took a few hours to find and fix the problem. Please remember we have a new board and are doing our best to address water issues as quickly as possible. Thank you to board treasurer Robyn Rogers who was on the ground helping. Our water management drove in from Gig Harbor, also thanks to board member Kerry O’Leary who pointed us to the correct shut off valve (there are many), and board president Paul Gullekson who was at his brother’s wedding but took Robyn’s call and told him where the maps of the system are kept. The cause of the problem was brittle PVC water main cracked by a tree root. Thank you all for your cooperation and patience.
